What a nightmare the 1st week has been. Every run which I ran well last year is so so difficult. It is amazing what 2 weeks off with flu can affect your fitness.
I am now sticking to a plan of 2x6 mile runs, 1 speed session and 1 long hilly run in my quest for my sub 40. However this time the training plan will be longer rather than cramming into 4 or 6 weeks. Therefore the Pollock 10k in May is the target.
That will tie in nicely with my impending fatherhood in March which I am so looking forward to but at the same time very apprehensive as how it will affect my and our everyday lives.
